
Nicole AMOGHO really starts singing "when she was very young in Franceville (south east of Gabon). Winner challenge organized by Mr. Patience Dabany's staff, she enters the group confirming her singing skills and talent firstly as a background vocal, before becoming the Dabany System lead vocal in 1994. For six years she would be taking part into a number of concerts in both Gabon and the USA. But when she settles back in Libreville, she meets a well-known arranger named Jean YvesMESSAN, owner of the famous Mandarine recording studio.
In 2001, produced by Jean Yves Messan, her debut album ATSIMA (meaningregrets in obamba ethnic group) is released.
In 2003, on December, her producer feels much more comfortable with Nicole AMOGHO and decides to produce her second album: KUNI VUA is the name of Nicole's new solo project (meaning here it's like that).
In 2005 she wins the second prize of the Gabonese song of the year with hit song "bayiba".
In January 2006 comes out CODE SECRET (secret code), her third album containing 10 tracks. This new production emphasizes Nicole's musical talent and experience in the music story. Since then, her fame increases day after day, and this obvious through the incredible number of invitations and concerts on the most important cultural events organized here and there. Among these manifestations are: "lafete des cultures 2002 & 2004 edition", "Festi dames 2003,2004, 2005,2006 etc.
Nicole's music style is perfect mix of local flavours: it goes from lissimbu to lingwala trough the empire and agnala rhythms. All these rhythms complete a wonderful marriage with both traditional rumba and afro zouk
In her songs, the young artist depicts day-to-day themes of stories: love, heart breaks, betrayal etc. In addition, gives from time to time a critical glance at burning subjects such as unemployment, poverty and misery. She often recalls joyful moments and revisits the best reminisces of her life.
Yet she is now considered as a trustable artist, her background voice is however present on most of Gabonese artist albums among the well know ones. More than 50 different artists have engaged her as a background vocalist on their albums. Nicole gets all her wining cards thanks to her linguistic variety and deep knowledge of the tradition of her community. Indeed she can fluently speak up to six vernacular ethnic languages apart from French which is the Gabonese official language.
Today Nicole AMOGHO is looking forwards to initiate an international career with the strong ambition of promoting Gabonese culture all over the world through her music.
